Wire track lighting kits come in two different lengths – 1.5 meters and 3 meters. These cables can, however, be adjusted to other lengths to fit the specific room and ceiling the wire track lights are installed in.
Why would you install wire track lighting?
Led wire track lighting kits are used for both practical and aesthetic reasons. They’re commonly used in tall or open ceilings where lights need to be brought down to a lower level or the surface of the ceiling is too rough or uneven, which makes it hard for the track lights to be mounted straight onto the ceiling. The wire track lights can also look more stylistic and architectural than surface mounted fittings when put above benches or cash registers etc.
How many wires are needed for two wire track systems?
In order to properly hold up the hanging tracks and get the stability needed, it’s necessary to use one led wire track lighting kit for every meter of track. Each kit comes with two flexible wires.
How do you install led wire track lighting kits?
The installation of the cable track lighting is very easy as you simply screw one end of the cable to a ceiling plaster or beam that supports the open ceilings. Once the wires are hanging, the next step is to attach one wire to each end of the track. This is done by screwing it through the already existing holes.
Aesthetic look of cable track lighting.
As previously mentioned, the hanging led lights on wire tracks may not only be used for practical reasons, they can also have a great impact on the look of a room as they easily come across as more neat or elegant than surface mounted led lights and in turn can change the overall look of a whole room. As the lights are more exposed and closer to the ground they can also bring attention to and spice up areas like bar counters or cash register to make them stand out from the rest of the room.
