Mounting Applications

High Ceilings

In a very high ceiling you’d want to use suspended led track lighting in order to bring the lights closer to the displays. The general rule is to suspend the tracks if the ceiling is higher than three meters.

Concrete Ceilings

These type of ceilings have a surface that is too rough for surface mounting, which makes suspended led track lighting a good alternative when track lights are still the best option for the area.

Sloped Ceilings

Since the surface in these ceilings is uneven you’d need to use hanging track lighting to make sure the lights are attached evenly when mounted to the sloped or angular area.

Open Ceilings

Just as concrete ceilings, open, industrial looking ceilings have a poor surface for direct mounting of the tracks as they often expose things like ceiling fans and air conditioners or sometimes have windows built into them.

Track Types

Configuration

The suspended track lighting kits can be installed in a few different designs depending on the shape of the room and what is being displayed. The straight runs configuration is most commonly used in art galleries and is best used for long wall spaces. The square configuration with straights is used for box shaped rooms where all the walls are in need of illumination as well as a section in the middle of the room. Last but not least, we have the rectangular U-shape design that leaves your hanging track lights illuminating the side walls and the back of the room while the entrance stays darker. With the different adaptors for track shapes you can create just about any shape for your hanging track lights which gives them the flexibility to fit about any project.

Single Circuit 3 Wire

This is the lighter type of track wire. It consists of a single circuit which means the lights on this circuit will all dim at the same time. These circuits are the quickest and easiest to use, especially for lights installed in taller ceilings as it allows you to dim the lights directly from a wall switch. The size of this track type is 35mm width and 15mm height and weight is 20 kg. They tracks come in 1, 2 and 3 metre lengths but can customised in length if needed.

4 Wire / 3 Circuit

This type of track allow you to do dimming from a wall dimmer. There is also a small switch on the track light that let you group dim the lights. This means you have the option to dim three different groups of lights any way you like. It also give you the ability to control the ON/OFF feature of the lights as you desire. These tracks are heavier and more commercial. They are often used in retail, showrooms, art galleries and certain office spaces. Just as the 3-wire tracks, these track type come in 1, 2 and 3 metre lengths and can be cut down to any length in order to fit the given application. The size is 33 mm width x 33 mm height and the weight of the track is 25 kg.
