Kitchen Track Lighting

Kitchens are one of the most popular residential applications for track lighting. Kitchens are often the hub of the home, acting as a social as well as functional space. Clear and direct task lighting is needed for food preparation, with ambient light to set the atmosphere if it is a dine-in kitchen. A well-designed track system can cater to all of these needs.

Track lighting can be suspended, surface mounted or recessed, depending on the space and ceiling height. Surface mounted is the easiest solution, with simple installation. If you are aiming for a clean and streamlined look, recessed track keeps the ceiling uncluttered. Suspended track is suitable if you have high or vaulted ceilings, and you can also suspend track over a kitchen island or bench to bring the light level down.

Our track range includes single circuit track available in 1m, 2m and 3m lengths, with 4 wire track available by request. A kitchen track solution often follows the layout of kitchen units, and by using a combination of these lengths, we can create the ideal solution for your space, whether you require straight runs, T shapes, U shapes, squares or rectangles.

We are here to help you design the best solution for your space, delivering the right mix of ambient, task and accent lighting. We have a range of track accessories to allow lengths to be joined at corners, cross-sections or T junctions. We can also cut track to your required length where needed. The power feed can go into the end of the track, or into the middle, giving further flexibility. Tracks are supplied with a power feed on one end, and an end cap on the other.

A general rule is to use one track light per linear metre of track. Within our range we offer 9W, 15W, 30W and 40W track lights, in Black or White. The compact 9W light works best in areas which are not regularly occupied or used. Track lights from 15W upwards all come with dimming as standard. We recommend using dimmable lights in any residential project, especially in living spaces.

Kitchens have multiple functions, and need different light levels for a range of activities. The 15W track light is the most popular for residential projects. Our 30W and 40W options are suited to commercial spaces such as retail stores, showrooms or offices, with 40W being our highest powered track head fitting, for areas needing strong illumination.

Track lights are available with a 15°, 25°, or 38° beam angle. The range of beam angles allow for a solution that is completely tailored to your space. It might include a mix of wide beams, generating a wash of light, and narrow beams, to provide task light over a hob or preparation area.

All of our lights are offered in two colour temperatures: Cool White (5000K) or Warm White (3000K).

A Cool White (5000K) colour temperature is closer to natural daylight, and so works best in working environments, such as offices, or retail stores, or anywhere clear and bright light is required.

A Warm White (3000K) colour temperature is closer to fire or candlelight, creating a cozier, more relaxing ambience suited to residential projects or art gallery spaces.

I can't express how much I love the timber pentant lights from LED World. For our new home, we tried to source as many locally made products as possible (misses loves that kind of thing). So for us, having that central light fitting over the kitchen bench, that was made in Australia, was a no-brainer and at a reasonable price compared to other Australian made product's we have purchased recently for our home.

Our space changes from a day-time cafe to a classy restaurant during the night. So we needed a lighting solution that was adaptive to our dynamic needs. Simon was able to provide sound advice on what the best solution was.

Simon and his team supplied me with new lighting for my kitchen and I couldn’t be happier. I’m loving the linear pendant light which hangs over the kitchen island bench — such a beautiful centre piece and I get so many great comments about it when guests come to stay. Thank you guys.
