Commercial Recessed Downlights:
This recessed commercial lighting is used in applications like retail, showrooms, shopping centres and walkways. The light is mostly used in very tall ceilings where a strong and even illumination is necessary. The standard downlights have the surface painted black or white, but can be painted in any colour to fit the given application specifically. Sitting flush with the ceiling makes the downlights look very subtle and aesthetic and is perfect for an application where you don’t want to bring too much attention to the light fittings, but rather focus on the actual illumination.
These commercial recessed downlights are installed by cutting a hole into the ceiling where the light later is being placed so that it becomes one with the ceiling. The 120 degree light spread creates a nice and even illumination of the room. The colour temperatures are 3000K, 4000K and 5500K and dimming of the light is available to control the intensity of light and create a desired mood in the room. The models available are the standard and the curved downlight.
Commercial Recessed Linear Profiles:
The recessed linear profiles come in 1,2 and 3-meter lengths and standard colours are matte black, matte white and anodized. The profiles can however, be cut into any length on that scale, down to the millimeter and be painted into any colour. This way you can customize the light fittings very precisely to the given application. Common applications for this recessed commercial lighting are walkways, shopping centers and showrooms. Some colour temperatures available are 3000K, 4000K and 5500K. This type of recessed commercial lighting will provide you with strong and even illumination for your project without too many light fittings required as they can be installed with relatively wide spacing in between each fitting while still light up the application sufficiently.
Different type of light fittings will need different installation designs. Linear profiles can usually go a bit further apart than the downlights as they throw more light. This is however things a lighting plan will help you with in order to get a good picture of the whole structure of the project. A lighting plan works as a sketch of your project and makes it easier for you to get an idea of how the project will be put together before installing the lights. Getting a lighting plan together is strongly recommended for every lighting project as it will have a huge impact on the final result.
2D plan – this type of lighting plan will tell you the lighting calculations and positioning of the fittings. The lighting calculations shows where the lumens or lux outputs of the lights will appear on the floor while the positioning is where the light fittings will be located so that whoever is installing the lights knows where to put them. A 2D plan costs $99 + GST.
3D plan – the 3D plan works as a prototype of your finished project. It’s about as real as it gets to the real life result of the project and will tell you how the lights will display on merchandise or objects in the room. This will give you a chance to decide whether you’re happy with the outcome before committing to the actual project. A 3D plan with lighting calculations included will cost you $300 + GST.
