Colour Temperatures
Cool White
A Cool White (5000K) colour temperature is closer to natural daylight, and is the most suitable option for working environments, such as offices, retail stores, or anywhere clear and bright light is required.Warm White
A Warm White (3000K) colour temperature is closer to fire or candlelight, creating a cozier, more relaxing ambience suited to residential projects and art gallery spaces.All recessed, surface-mounted and suspended track options are available in black. Black track offers a contrast to the ceiling when track is recessed or surface-mounted. Suspended black track makes more of a design statement, especially when used in industrial or commercial spaces. It is particularly popular where the brickwork of a building is on show.
Black single circuit track is offered in 1m, 2m or 3m lengths, and we can also cut track to your required length. We offer 4 wire track by request. Whether your project requires straight runs, squares, rectangles, T shapes, or U shapes, we can customise a solution. For further flexibility, the power feed can go into the end of the track, or into the middle.
Track lengths can be joined at corners, cross-sections or T junctions, using our range of track accessories.Track is supplied with a power feed at one end and an end cap on the other.
Our black track lighting is available in 9W, 15W, 30W and 40W. The compact 9W light works best in residential projects, in areas which are not regularly occupied or used. Our 15W, 30W and 40W lights all have dimming as standard. Dimmable light is especially important in residential projects (15W is the most popular choice for residential), where living spaces have multiple functions. The more powerful 30W and 40W lights are most suited to commercial spaces such as retail stores, showrooms or offices. The 40W is one of our highest-powered track lights, for very bright illumination.
A choice of a Cool White (5000K) or Warm White (3000K) colour temperature, and 15°, 25°, or 38° beam angles, allows for further customisation.
A Cool White (5000K) colour temperature is closer to natural daylight, making it the preferred option for working environments, or anywhere clear and bright light is required.
A Warm White (3000K) colour temperature is more comparable to fire or candlelight, and creates a cozier, more relaxing ambience suited to residential projects or art gallery spaces.
We recommend using one light per linear metre of track. By combining beam angles, we can tailor a solution which might include wide beams, for a wash of light, and narrow beams, to highlight a particular object or display, for example a piece of art.
